The occupants of a car that rolled over into a ditch after a collision on Highway 97 north of Vernon suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The two-vehicle crash took place around 5 p.m. south of Meadowlark Road Wednesday, July 3.
RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Tania Finn said a car was travelling southbound on the highway when another car heading north crossed the centre line and collided with the front driver's panel of the southbound car. Both vehicles ended up off the road and into the ditch. The southbound vehicle remained upright, but the second vehicle rolled over and ended up on its roof.
"The occupants of the vehicle that rolled were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the incident remains under investigation," Finn said.

Traffic has been slowed on Highway 97 north of Vernon following a crash that sent two vehicles into the ditch.
RCMP, BC Ambulance and BX firefighters are at the scene of the crash south of Meadowlark Road in the southbound lanes, where one car is on its roof in the ditch. The crash took place around 5 p.m. July 3.
Emergency crews could be seen attending to the vehicle that rolled over.
Traffic has been disrupted in both directions, and debris can be seen littering the roadway.
There is currently no word on the extent of injuries that may have been suffered. The Morning Star has reached out to the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP for more information.
